For this project, you are to show the class how to best shape a child’s behavior using Skinner’s four consequences: positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment.

If you were parenting a child who was acting out, how would you deal with him/her/them?

Make sure you explain how the consequence works and why/how you would use it. Also, discuss what consequence schedule you would use and why. REMEMBER, the consequences you would use for a 4 year old will be different than what you use for a 12 year old. Make sure you address this in your presentation. The format of the presentation must be creative (and will affect your grade)! You can choose from formats such as these: web page, audio podcast, comic strip, children’s story, a song/spoken word you write and perform, a detailed poem, or screenplay. You can, though I don’t encourage you to do a PPT, but if you do it must be creative!
